Groodle in the snow

Are Groodles good snow dogs? Here is my experience:

Nando loves the snow!! He wants to roll in it, rub his face in it and just generally play and chase snow balls, and eat the snow. Some friends of ours have taken him cross-country skiing – look how happy he was!

The Groodle coat keeps him nice and warm but it also traps the snow in the curls and large ice balls start forming on his feet, legs and belly, and in deep snow he can get bogged down because of this and it starts to get uncomfortable below his paws and on his legs. He lies down and tries to chew the snowballs off. So long distance snow adventures are not a great idea for Nando.
